What you'll do:

As a Head of Centralized Procurement, you'll report to the Head of Change Management and be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement strategy, processes, and policies across the enterprise. In this role, you'll develop and execute the enterprise-wide procurement strategy to drive cost efficiency and strengthen supplier performance across a total negotiable spend base of ~$300MM. You will also own other key aspects of the Source to Pay process including procurement operations, supplier relationships, category management, contract negotiations, spend analytics and invoice reconciliation. You'll establish and execute a Procurement roadmap of initiatives including value capture (commercial terms/demand management), process & policy, and the enterprise operating model including technology tools. You'll partner closely with the lines of businesses to build a comprehensive sourcing strategy that maximizes the company's purchasing power.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure transparency, efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards. Oversee development of category specific procurement strategies such as IT Software, IT Managed Services, Professional Services, or Contingent Labor, and work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and other departments, to ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives. Oversee supplier selection, contracting, and negotiations. Support efforts to continuously improve the Source to Pay process including close coordination with groups engaged in the lifecycle such as Third-Party Management, Legal, and Accounts Payable.
  • Utilize data analytics to track procurement performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement activities and performance metrics. Conduct regular performance reviews to discuss both successes and areas of improvement in the working relationship.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Leverage procurement technologies and innovations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes. Utilize market intelligence and industry trends to inform procurement strategies, drive innovation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish verification and matching of invoices to contracts including working with users to ensure actual pricing received matches previously agreed upon contracts. Develop and deliver against annual savings and avoidance targets. Monitor internal performance within each spend category.
     

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of related experience in Supply Chain Management, progressive experience in procurement, 5 years in a senior leadership role within a large financial institution or similar environment or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Advanced to expert financial acumen with expertise in cost optimization, contract structuring, and risk mitigation.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced to expert experience with competitive bidding, benchmarking, and supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Advanced to expert experience and knowledge of procurement, category management, and supplier negotiations.
  • Advanced to expert experience and knowledge in digital procurement tools, analytics, and automation technologies.
  • Advanced to expert skills with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced to expert experience driving change across the organization.
  • Advanced to expert experience influencing senior leadership.
  • Advanced to expert experience with continuous improvemen.
  • Advanced to expert experience with results-driven initiatives. 
  • Advanced to expert experience developing and presenting executive level summaries using PowerPoint.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional preferred.
  • Process Improvement or business methodology accreditation (e.g., DMAIC, Lean/Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
