Are you an innovative and self-motivated data scientist with a passion for leveraging AI/ML in computational protein design? Join AbbVie's Discovery Biotherapeutics team as a Senior Scientist, where you'll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technologies for discovering and developing novel biotherapeutics.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will utilize your expertise in AI/ML and computational protein design to drive the development of cutting-edge biotherapeutics. You'll have access to leading modeling tools and collaborate with a cross-functional team focused on protein production and characterization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement state-of-the-art AI/ML methodologies for computational protein design, including fine-tuning protein language models and generative protein design.
- Stay abreast of advancements in NLP, ML, and generative AI to build novel tools that enhance therapeutic discovery and development.
- Collaborate with internal experts to optimize the computational discovery infrastructure, offering both individual and team-based innovative solutions.
- Communicate complex scientific ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Cheminformatics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields, with typically 10-12+ years (BS), 8-10+ years (MS), or 0-4+ years (PhD) of experience.
