Health Services Manager B

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent will manage the Planning and Partnerships Section of the Community Health and Performance Management Division, reporting to the Executive Community Health Nursing Director/ Division Director. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and limited supervision while maintaining positive working relationships with all agency divisions.

 

The incumbent will oversee and monitor community health improvement planning, including support and oversight of the CHIP/CHAT Manager in development, distribution, and monitoring of a Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan for Pinellas County. This position provides oversight of conducting the Community Health Needs Assessment and monitoring the community health profile reports, oversees the Pinellas County Community Health Action Team (CHAT), and facilitates CHAT work teams and meetings.

 

The incumbent will oversee and support the agency's Minority Health Liaison, Strategic Planner, and Florida Healthy Babies project manager, ensuring all agency required deliverables are met by monitoring all action plan deliverables and allotted budget requirements, evaluates impact of all funding activities on identified targets, identifies potential problems, recommends appropriate action, and informs and engages in shared decision-making with Division Director on all activities.

 

This position also provides leadership and oversight for agency public health accreditation efforts and champions the Pinellas Accreditation Team. Ensures overall agency compliance with PHAB Accreditation Standards and Measures. Provides oversight for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on documentation of PHAB standards and measures as assigned to agency. Maintains database of documentation. Leads agency and monitors documentation of PHAB standards and measures related to community health improvement planning and population health data collection and reporting. Maintains documentation and provides regular updates to Division Director.

 

This position supervises, communicates with, motivates, trains, counsels, disciplines, evaluates and recruits assigned staff. Evaluates staff performance through observation, review of records, team meetings and individual conferences. Obtains input from staff, reinforces team building and gives opportunity for expressing concerns. Provides, coordinates ongoing training for staff. Distributes program information to staff and ensures implementation of new procedures and policies. Monitors, tracks, and reports outcomes. Approves leave requests for supervised staff. Coordinates leave schedule with other supervisory staff to assure continuation of service delivery.
