Lead Game Designer - Monopoly GO!

Scopely is looking for a Lead Game Designer to join our Monopoly GO! game team in our Culver City studio hub, or remotely within the US! At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players. What you will do

• Deeply understand players' needs to guide design decisions
• Turn high-level ideas into well-structured designs, develop creative features and extract key learnings
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve designs
• Ensure clear communication with the player through UI and game elements. Collaborate with UX & UI artists
• Write concise, effective, game specs with enough detail for the team
• Iterate based on player and team feedback for improvement. Optimize features using post-launch user data
• Maintain consistent user flow across gameplay features
• Work closely with art and product leads on a unified visual style

What We're Looking For 

• Lead game design experience in F2P mobile games
• Experience in casual games is a big bonus
• Experience in launching games from ideation to success
• Proven track record of impactful live game features
• Thrives in a dynamic, cross-discipline team environment
• Strong collaboration, communication, and feedback skills
• Skilled in designing Core, Meta, and Social systems
• Experience with A/B testing and data-driven improvements
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and agile mindset

 For candidates in CA, CO, MD, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $130,900 - $193,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off.
