Cleerly is creating a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly’s solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world’s largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person’s risk of heart attacks.
About the Opportunity
Cleerly, Inc. is a technology-based healthcare company whose mission is to
create digital care pathways to prevent heart attacks. Cleerly, Inc, in Denver, CO is seeking a
Team Lead, Sr. Data Scientist to lead multiple machine learning (ML) research and
development projects.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
• Direct the research and development of various prototypes to be developed by
the company for state-of-the-art machine learning models with applications in
coronary CT angiography.
• Provide subject matter expertise on novel technologies and lead the team in the
development of the next generation of quantitative computer aided diagnosis
systems.
• Serve as a liaison for our multi-disciplinary, cross-functional Data Science teams
to ensure cohesive research and analysis, as well as to ensure the build of the ML
algorithms and pipeline.
• Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues.
• Conduct senior-level analyses of the algorithms and prototypes being researched
and developed.
• Research new methods of measuring and analyzing large and highly complicated
data sets based on mathematical models and principles.
• Build, and/or oversee build of, prototypes for experimentation.
• As a senior-level Team Lead, present findings and recommendations internally to
company heads, as well as externally to groups of clinical experts and other
stakeholders.
• Lead the team by both validating and challenging ideas both from technical and
product point of view to ensure the highest-caliber research and development
• Stay abreast of current and novel developments in the field through reading,
conferences, and other research opportunities.
• Derive mathematical proofs for the machine learning algorithms to support the
validity and rigorousness of Cleerly's product design.
• Support regulatory activities by providing technical expertise, and reviewing
study/test-plan design
• Develop and manage machine learning operations.
This position will have significant managerial authority over project development and
milestones, but does not hold any personnel management authority
Minimum requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer
Science, or a related STEM field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job
offered or in any related
position(s).
Qualified candidates must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, experience, or
skill with the following (gained through education or employment):
1. Experience in deep learning and prototype development in a professional setting.
2. Experience with image science, the physics of image formation, and applied
mathematics.
3. Experience with large-scale machine learning platforms including PyTorch or
TensorFLow.
4. Experience in advanced data analytics, including structured and unstructured
data, data mining, and ML techniques.
5. Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python,
Julia, or R.
Less than 5% domestic travel. Work from home benefit is available.

Salary - $130,000 - $150,000
