Overview

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist in Bala Cynwdy, PA

 

We are seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-OTR for our outpatient orthopedic center located in CITY. A certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, but we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We can mentor an occupational therapist aspiring to be a certified hand therapist. We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support.

Schedule: Full-time 32 hours per week Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday from 8am-2pm. 

 

Compensation: $62,500-$75,000/yr based on your experience. More if you are alread a CHT. 

 

Unique Location/Job Details: Large outpatient center with 10 PTs, 2 PTAs, 1 OT along with front desk staff.  Work closely with a CHT and therapists.  Must have hand experience. Minimum requirement is Level II in hand therapy under a CHT.  Diverse hand patient mix. Mentorship under a CHT provided.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required
• Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Valid driver’s license
