Position Overview:
As the Master Supply Planner, you’re a key member of the Customer Fulfillment team , reporting to the Manager, Master Supply Planning. You will contribute to the success of Ball by being responsible for development of master production schedules for multiple plants across the Beverage Packaging North and Central America network. The master production schedules will ensure maximum manufacturing efficiencies as well as optimal inventory levels while enabling delivery to customer requirements.
Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include:
- Direct distribution of inventory throughout the network to ensure inventory is available to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Work with management and inventory planners to develop safety stock and inventory strategies for assigned products.
- Work with management to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Develop and implement continuous improvement practices and LEAN management methodologies across our production planning and scheduling processes.
- Coordinate across the supply network in lead-time-reduction activities to achieve the projected planned schedule requirements, and support industry best-in-class production lead time.
- Identify deviations from established plans, and develop recovery plans.
- Monitor Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) plans to ensure alignment with the master production schedule.
- Communicate master production schedules with manufacturing & plant management.
- Measure, analyze and report key process metrics. Monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop, monitor and communicate reports on inventory and process execution to business unit and supply chain organizations, while driving continuous improvement. Maintains business data to support production planning, inventory reporting and manufacturing systems.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience.
- 5 years minimum of supply chain role.
- Experience using a ERP/MRP system.
- Working knowledge APICS Production and Inventory planning methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience production planning in a high -speed manufacturing environment.
- Experience using JD Edwards or Oracle Value Chain Planning systems.
- APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $72,900 - $109,250 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
- The preferred location for this role is our Westminster, CO campus; but we will consider a REMOTE candidate, dependent on experience, qualifications and willingness to engage in regular travel to Colorado.
