WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Human Resource Generalist III performs a full range of administrative and operational HR related duties. This position manages day-to-day tasks and special projects. The HR Generalist will act as a consultative partner across the enterprise, creating, assisting, launching, managing, and answering questions and is the first point of contact after hire and for the employee’s life cycle. The HR Generalist III will be an advocate on everything Coastal, with a strong focus on culture and employee experience.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Serve as a contact for employees and managers regarding requests, questions and company practice and policies. Communicate complex and sensitive information which may include benefits, LOA, payroll inquiries, handling confidentially and with discretion.
- Manage and process employee change functions in the HRIS system, including creating and producing reports.
- Owns the Status Change Process for all employees including promotions, transfers etc.
- Identify, implement, and monitor legal requirements and reporting regulations affecting the human resource function and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Inform management of needed improvements.
- Proactively suggest and participate in quality and service improvement initiatives.
- Manage company notifications and communications consisting of: terms, new hires, promotions, etc.
- Conducts employee onboarding and delivers an engaging, positive experience in line with our Core Values for all new employees.
- Is responsible for the day-to-day data entry and maintenance of employee information into Paylocity including payroll and benefits administration.
- Run system generated reports for KPI, analytics or other needed data. Take action as needed.
- Update and maintain the Employee Handbook under the guidance of the HR Operations Manager.
- Assist with monitoring department budgeting and expense tracking.
- Prepare employee separation documents and conduct parts of the exit process for HR operational purposes.
- Work with managers on documenting workplace injuries, accommodation and ergonomic requests and managing claims.
- Efficiently interpret Federal, State, or local laws and be able to communicate compliance related issues to upper-level management.
- Schedule meetings, functions and events as requested by management or other leadership. May lead and execute event or function. Coordinate food and/or beverage for event or function.
- Supports recruiting by entering requisitions, identifying relevant candidates, connecting them with the hiring manager, interviewing them, issuing offers as needed.
- Manage the general HR Outlook inbox ensuring timely responses.
- Manage employee files including the benefits files periodically auditing them for compliance.
- Assist with annual enrollment and completes benefit billing.
- Conduct 1:1 Benefit Orientations.
- Handle benefits inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution escalating issues to Total Rewards Manager when needed.
- Ensure Job Descriptions are placed in the appropriate template.
- Become the HRIS subject matter expert.
- Coordinates the Safety Committee.
- May back up the Human Resource, Benefits and Recruiting managers as necessary.
