Responsibilities

Like learning about new systems and leading edge capabilities? Come learn and explore new technologies, new software, new hardware, and tools. Along the way, advise the Government by researching technologies, developing use cases, and comparing system capabilities. Help design, review and even test small to large systems both new and monolithic. That’s what a SETA does in a nutshell.

  • Act as the Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Government customer on various systems-related activities, to include oversight and advisement on development programs.
  • Using a holistic approach, design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
  • Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
  • Translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
  • Generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Review test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a fully adjudicated poly.
  • Requires 0 to 2 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years no degree.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to combine technologies and develop procedure to solve specific problems
  • Good customer teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Responsive to user requirements and quickly turnaround solutions to users’ problem sets
