The Conversational Experiences - Virtual Agent Control team is at the forefront of technological evolution within Expedia Group. We are responsible for driving technology innovation, ensuring that our customers have a seamless and effortless experience when interacting with Expedia Group apps, websites, support channels, and contact centers via our state-of-the-art Virtual Agent Platform.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Kotlin (for shared Android-iOS logic) and Swift UI

• Work closely with the cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centric solutions and interfaces

• Leverage the capabilities of our Virtual Agent Platform to create seamless conversational experiences for our users

• Ensure that the applications are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and exceptional user experience

• Write unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of the application. Participate in code and design reviews

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements in mobile development, and best practices to ensure that our applications are always a step ahead

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and expertise to junior developers and contribute to the team's overall growth and knowledge sharing

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in iOS application development with proficiency in Kotlin and Swift UI

• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design principles, patterns, and best practices

• Experience with GraphQL, RESTful APIs and web services

• Proficient in iOS development using Kotlin and Swift UI

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly explanations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a diverse team environment

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $161,500 to $194,000 . Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500 , which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $161,500.00 to $226,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
