Accounting Clerk

<strong>Job Summary</strong><br />
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for completing various accounting and financial tasks. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. <br />

<strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong><br />
•    Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and recording accounting transactions.<br />
•    Preparation of financial reports as needed.<br />
•    Preparation and maintenance of audit schedules.<br />
•    Prepare and submit monthly General Consumption Tax and other statutory filings.<br />
•    Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accuracy in financial records.<br />
•    Perform any other accounting related duties assigned.<br />
<br />
<strong>Qualification &amp; Skill Requirement</strong><br />
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2 and/or its equivalent.<br />
•    A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar capacity.<br />
•    Proficient in accounting principles with a solid understanding of financial concepts.<br />
•    Must be proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.<br />
•    Experience using QuickBooks will be considered an asset. <br />
•    Familiarity with Jamaican tax regulations and filing procedures will be considered an asset.<br />
•    Excellent reporting, analytical, and communication abilities.<br />
•    Must be detailed oriented, with a history of making minimal error.<br />
•    Must be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.<br />
•    High level of confidentiality is required.<br />
