The One 23 Group, a Virginia-based Government Contractor, seeks a Network Systems Administrator - SME, local to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. 

Requirements

• Provide enterprise-level operational support for incident and problem management activities (e.g., fault isolation, troubleshooting, and resolution support for critical customer network issues). 
• Work with the systems team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and remediate customer application issues.      
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability. 
• Design, deploy, and maintain solutions to build 24/7 global operations. 
• Manage and implement physical as well as AWS-based firewalls, proxies, VPN concentrators, and related network protection technologies. 
• Critically analyze network infrastructure to find opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce the threat profile. 
• Provide mentorship and training on areas of expertise to Information Security and other internal teams. 
• Present project status reports to senior management, adhere to policies and practices, and contribute to the development of new policies and practices. 
• Work closely with business and application owners on design, troubleshooting, support, and documentation of new application deployment and enhancements. Attend planning meetings. 
• Provide technical expertise in business initiatives and projects. 
• Manage and lead internal IT initiatives and projects from other groups. Participate in on call rotation.
• Create end-to-end project tasks and ensure project completion. 
• Manage and maintain network and security documentation. 
• Evaluate new and emerging network security trends, products, and technologies. 
• Monitor the health of the entire Zscaler infrastructure, including VMs, logging and cloud access. 
• Provide vulnerability mitigation. 
• Perform risk assessment of storage infrastructure software and hardware components. 

Qualifications:

• 10 -12 years of relevant IT experience.
• 10 years of relevant IT experience relating to Network Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Security.
• Experience in analyzing network requirements, drafting project documentation, coordinating with customers, deploying system technologies, providing project reporting, project oversight, and projecting out-year network requirements.
• Experience and understanding of Cisco switching, routing, firewalls, Intrusion Detection System, and network management and monitoring including OPNET.
• Experience and understanding of DNS, email, web, and file proxies.

• Certified Network Computer Technician (CNCT)
• Cisco Certificiation in Routing & Switching (CCNA RS)
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• IAT III Baseline Certification (CISSP/CASP)

Clearance: 

• Must have a minimum active Top Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
