Project Overview:
Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of an existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.
This position as an assignment in Nagothane, Maharashtra, India.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the organization and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to contractors in construction engineering and design functions relating to electrical and instrumentation engineering in an area of the project.

- Receives technical and operational guidance from Project Field Engineer or assigned Area Field Engineer or other assigned supervising manager.

- Provides technical and administrative direction to assigned subordinate construction engineers and contractors.
Contacts
- Jobsite contacts are with jobsite personnel including subcontractors related to construction engineering and the customer's resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the construction engineering organization for approval by the Site Manager (or appropriate level of Project Management) and preparation of employee requisitions.
- Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite.
- Establishes a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables.
- Responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required.
