Join our dedicated nursing team on Flinders Island, where your expertise as a Registered Nurse will make a real difference in patients' lives. We're seeking multiple talented nurses for both full-time and part-time positions across our Hospitals & Primary Care network in the Northern region.

Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre:

  • Multipurpose facility with 24 hour emergency care, 5 sub-acute beds, 9 residential aged care beds, community nursing, day centre as well as visiting medical specialists and allied health.

The Role:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care across various hospital departments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Support patients and families through their healthcare journey
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

You will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge and skills relative to both Emergency and Aged Care Nursing
  • Understanding of working and living in a remote health setting
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Details of appointment:

Multiple Permanent shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
