We are recruiting for a EMEA Medical Affairs Strategic Programs Lead, to be based in EMEA.

The Lead MAF Strategic Programs EMEA works directly with the Head of Medical Affairs EMEA. This role is responsible for shaping strategy, identifying priorities, and leading complex programs and large-scale projects across all Therapeutic Areas and functions of EMEA Medical Affairs with a special focus on ESO.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shape and lead development of strategic planning for EMEA and ESO MAF.
  • Assess business and identify-prioritize strategic improvement efforts.
  • Lead and manage high impact, high visibility projects.
  • Identify synergies and leverage opportunities across Medical Affairs teams, partnering with other functions and regions to drive results.
  • Highlight key business issues and collaborate with Medical Affairs leaders to identify and implement strategies and solutions.
  • Act as a PMO of the EMEA Medical Affairs Leadership Team (EMALT).
  • Work together with the Head of Medical Affairs in preparing strategic presentations, reports and recommendations to be presented/shared in leadership audience.
  • Collaborate with Global and Local teams to ensure coordinated efficiencies and seamless bridge on critical new capability for Johnson & Johnson.

Required Minimum Education:                                            

Advanced business degree preferred

Required Years of Related Experience:      

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or related industry is required.
  • Project management skills are required.
  • Ability to plan and tightly manage the scope of multiple important projects while balancing multiple stakeholders with differing needs is required.
  • Ability to drive projects forward to completion.
  • Experience in strategic planning, business planning and cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • Global approach with proven track record to partner cross culturally and regionally.
  • Proven experience in getting results in a highly complex and rapidly changing environment is required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance principles and local/regional regulations and laws is helpful.
  • Business experience with solid business acumen (previous experience leading P&L is desired).
  • Experience in Medical Affairs is helpful
  • Strong experience in building strategic recommendations
