About the Role

Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and enhance credit risk ML models that improve predictability and customer outcomes.
- Explore large datasets to uncover trends, identify key credit drivers, and generate insights that inform model design.
- Support the full modeling lifecycle: data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, and clear documentation of results.
- Run structured experiments and challenger models to test new ideas and improve performance.
- Translate analytical findings into recommendations for Credit Strategy, Pricing, and other business partners.
- Help monitor production model performance, including stability metrics, drift detection, and performance diagnostics.
- Contribute to audit-ready documentation and support model validation and governance processes.
- Leverage modern AI and data tools to improve your workflow, enhance modeling velocity, and elevate best practices across the team.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure models are explainable, transparent, and aligned with business goals and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, etc.).
- 1–3+ years of experience developing predictive models or performing advanced analytics (internships and co-ops count).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and SQL.
- Experience working with large datasets and building models end-to-end.
- Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ownership, curiosity, and ability to deliver high-quality results.
Nice to Have
- Experience in credit risk, lending, or financial services modeling.
- Exposure to cloud environments or modern data tooling.
- Familiarity with model monitoring, validation, or model governance concepts.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate modeling and analysis.
