Product Owner / Controls Engineer
ASMLAbout the role
Introduction to the job
ASML is the world’s leading manufacturer of lithography systems that enable Moore’s Law and the creation of increasingly powerful and capable electronic devices. At our San Diego location we are renowned for developing both deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography light sources and next generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources. We are a multinational company with over 70 locations in 16 countries, headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.
If you have a passion for technology and innovation you’ll want to check us out. Be a part of ASML. Be a part of progress.
The EUV source team in San Diego operates in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative and challenging environment to create new-to-industry solutions with rapid productization to support an aggressive commercialization plan for the EUV technology within ASML. The Plasma Controls Department is responsible for the development and engineering of the control systems for the EUV light source system. The complexity of the EUV source puts exciting and challenging demands on the Principal Controls Engineer who will be engaged in all phases of the control system development and integration involving sophisticated control algorithms, real-time embedded software/firmware, high speed electronics, precision sensors, and all working under extremely challenging dynamic conditions to produce stable and high-power EUV light.
Role and responsibilities
Serves as a technical lead for multiple control subsystems, capable of leading complex technical decision making for major development activities
Prepares Program Increments (PIs) by aligning, refining and (re)prioritizing the team backlog to match roadmaps and program portfolio and/or project plan.
Takes the ownership and connects with other POs and PLs to secure product deliverables and align on planning dependencies.
Performs feasibility studies, lead the development of control function road maps, advise on future product definition and system specifications.
Ensure integrity of system architecture during development
