The opportunity

Supervises maintenance team that performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability and capability. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance. 

How you’ll spend your day

Essential Duties
•    Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and guide team through repairs.
•    Document current maintenance processes and assist with tribal knowledge transfer.
•    Ensure adherence to company standards, SOP’s, and procedures.
•    Train maintenance team in best practices and increase team knowledge in equipment.
•    Contribute in development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
•    Manage contracted work as required
•    Appropriately prioritizes and responds to work requests/orders
•    Assigns work to maintenance team and ensures quality repairs
•    Performs maintenance work as needed

•    Accountable for the results of maintenance team
•    Solves problems based on practice and precedent
•    Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations
•    Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team
•    Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors and management
•    Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
•    Takes accountability for key result areas, achieves results and continuously seeks to improve standards
•    Continually challenges the way things have been done and seeks best practices when developing solutions or overcoming issues
•    Communicates openly, honestly and in a professional manner; presents ideas in a clear, concise and organized manner (both verbally & in written form)
 

Your experience and qualifications

•    High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
•    Years of experience – 10+ Pharmaceutical experience 
•    Knowledge on cGMP preferred
