Marketing Communications Summer Intern 2024
Length: May 27 – July 26
With direction from the Marketing Communications Associate, support the Strategic Events team in the execution of organized and meticulously managed conventions for surgeons and other health care professionals with an omni-channel approach, to raise awareness on the safety and effectiveness of Surgery’s commercially available portfolio.
Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities:
Keeps Regional Meeting Tracker and Strategic Events Calendar updated, organized, and accurate
Implements Post-Show survey/analysis for regional tradeshows to track leads and success
Provides Monthly Regional Meeting analysis
Creates Kick-Off Meeting Slides for January-February 2025 National Conventions
Owns Integrate site organization and clean up
Manages lead retrieval set up for upcoming conventions
Creates and routes social media posts for remaining 2024 conventions by working with design team and obtaining Veeva MLR approval
Enhances Post-Show Reporting by providing additional analysis of recorded metrics of National Conventions
Works with MarCom Associate to create attendee number recommendations for FY25 National Conventions and present to Leadership Team
Researches target audience personas and presents findings to Strategic Events Team
Performs adhoc projects as requested
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
Current college student obtaining bachelor’s degree in related field: communications, marketing, hospitality
Ability to think strategically and provide a fresh perspective
Strong desire for creativity, ownership and accountability
Ability to work as a team contributor and collaborator
Effective interpersonal communication skills and willingness to public speak
Outstanding attention to detail
Technology background and willingness to expand in this area
