About the role

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze loss and pricing study data to uncover loss drivers impacting the casualty portfolio.
  • Manage large loss and early warning data; maintain inventory and present summaries as directed. 
  • Assess claims coding and annotation, recommend improvements for improved data analytics.
  • Track and present exhibits on limits, underlying policies, premium, and policy count as directed. 
  • Analyze referral and authority trends; pull and manage renewal lists and pipeline reports as directed.
  • Participate in digitization work, aggregate guided underwriting elements, test and validate web scraping. 
  • Track strategy adherence and forms attachment across systems and portfolio segments. 
  • Monitor high-severity portfolios and emerging hazards, collaborate with business analytics team. 
  • Collaborate with Home Office Line of Business/Industry Practice Managers, Analytics, Actuaries, Claims and Corporate Catastrophe teams.
  • Manage assigned CI casualty projects. 

 

Knowledge and Skills:


• Applied experience in underwriting or data analytics/data analysis is preferred. 

• Understanding of commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practices. 

• Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics and analysis as well as project management

• Detail-oriented and critical thinking skills essential for integrating Underwriting strategy, rules, and modeling concepts. 

• Experience or aptitude for Insurance pricing models, data analytics and analysis. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree
