Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex HR business process requirements and issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to provide insights and support decision-making
Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills with experience using tools such as Jira and/or ServiceNow 

Job Description:

Summary

The Human Resources Information Management (HRIM) team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

· Analyze and evaluate business processes to identify areas for improvement. 

· Develop and implement solutions to enhance business operations and efficiency. 

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. 

· Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and solutions. 

· Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning. 

· Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes. 

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions. 

· Support Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) configuration, including system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

· Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure Workday HCM system aligns with business needs and requirements. 

· Develop and maintain configuration documentation and user guides for Workday HCM. 

· Assist in the testing and deployment of Workday HCM updates and enhancements. 


Level Guidelines
• Senior-level position possessing high-level professional and/or technical skills working independently under minimal supervision to support ISU’s mission and department or work unit goals
• Applies senior-level professional knowledge and expertise to work requiring greater latitude
• Solves moderately complex problems and regularly exercises judgment to determine appropriate action
• Regularly exercises judgment to resolve problems and determine appropriate action on a broad set of issue and problems. May provide recommendations regarding problems/issues outside the bounds of defined procedures and practices
• Responds to complicated inquiries, provides training, and provides direction to lower-level staff
• May provide supervision for one to two other staff (i.e., leads a small work team)
• May lead projects for which well-defined practices and procedures may not exist
• Provides guidance to students

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
