The Manufacturing Finance Team is one of the most important, operationally complex finance groups at Anduril. We are instrumental in defining sound business processes, partnering with Operations to understand manufacturing and inventory flow, tracking key operational metrics, and providing insights to assist in optimizing production.
ABOUT THE JOB
As the Company continues to grow rapidly in size and complexity, we are looking to add a new team member to support this growth. The position will have direct and frequent interaction with different functional teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Primary point of contact for all capital asset requests initiated by the global Manufacturing organization.
- Strong partnership with Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain during the annual planning process and ad hoc capital expenditure needs.
- Manage the full end to end capex process that includes intake of new requests, assisting with investment analysis (ROI, NPV, etc.), presenting business cases to leadership for approval, tracking actual spend as compared to approved budget, and holistic capex spend reporting.
- Support the cost accounting and FP&A functions within the Manufacturing Finance team as needed.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive efficiency within the organization.
- Participate in the annual physical inventory by overseeing inventory counts, reviewing variances, and conducting audits as necessary.
- Assist with the inventory cycle count program, identify opportunities for improved inventory accuracy, and partner with operations to determine root cause of inventory discrepancies.
- Interact with internal and external auditors, providing various analysis and audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with an emphasis on manufacturing finance / cost accounting.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite, or similar ERP system (SAP, Oracle).
- Experience with advanced Excel functions and superior storytelling with PowerPoint is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of fixed assets and accounting related flows.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, and willing to rollup sleeves when necessary.
- Ability to effectively communicate across different functions and levels of the Company, as well as presenting financial business cases including operational metrics to executives.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
