Job Description Summary:

The Learning Experience Manager will serve as a program manager and strategic consultant, aligning learning initiatives with organizational needs. This role is responsible for managing our enterprise-wide portfolio of offerings, relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), overseeing third-party vendor relationships, mapping skills assessments, managing multiple learning projects, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning efforts. The Learning Experience Manager will also consult and influence learning facilitation by leaders and SMEs and provide backup support in instructional design.

Job Description:

Multiple Learning Project Design & Management of Enterprise-Wide Portfolio:

  • Lead the design and management of multiple concurrent learning projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, quality standards, and business objectives.
  • Lead marketing and communication of portfolio of offerings to ensure that the business is in the know of what is available to them.
  • Work cross-functionally to coordinate resources, stakeholders, and deliverables for successful project execution.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Talent Partners, Leaders, and SMEs to ensure accurate and relevant content for learning solutions.
  • Partner with SMEs to co-create learning experiences that reflect industry best practices and operational realities.
  • Partner with Instructional Designer and Learning Systems Manager to ensure ease of workflow throughout L&D team.

Skills Assessment Mapping:

  • Design and implement skill assessments to identify current levels and skill gaps within teams or the organization.
  • Use assessment results to inform targeted learning strategies that drive capability development and performance improvement.

Third-Party Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with external learning vendors, ensuring their offerings align with the organization’s learning strategy and needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely and quality delivery of learning solutions from external partners.
  • Ensure seamless integration of vendor-provided content with internal learning platforms and processes.

Learning Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
  • Use evaluation data to continuously improve learning solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and learner needs.
  • Report outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders to inform future learning strategies.

Influencing Learning Facilitation:

  • Guide and influence the facilitation of learning experiences, working closely with leaders and SMEs to ensure effective delivery.
  • Support the development of leadership and SME facilitation skills, providing feedback and coaching as needed.

Instructional Design Backup Support:

  • Serve as a backup instructional designer, assisting in the development of digital and blended learning experiences when necessary.
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to ensure learning experiences are well-structured and aligned with adult learning principles.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in learning analysis, design, development, evaluation
  • 3+ years of experience strategic consultation on evaluating need and learning design
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience marketing or creative responsibilities
  • 1+ years of experience in third-party vendor management, relationship management with SMEs
  • Proven experience in designing learning solutions that build skills and improve business outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve the speed to learning development.
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and learning technologies (e.g., LMS, authoring tools).
