Shift: Swing (3:00pm - 1:30am)
Shift Differential: $0.50 per hour

Location: This position will float between DESC's Mobile Response Central (1618 S Lane Street, Seattle, WA 98144) and Mobile Response North (2150 N 107th St Ste B-40, Seattle, WA, 98133) locations.

JOB DEFINITION:
We are working to stop the trend of criminalizing mental illness, and make sure individuals in mental health crisis get the help they need. The Mobile Crisis Team Clinical Supervisor supervises a team comprised of Certified AAC’s, Licensed AAC’s and BA-level staff that bring crisis services to clients within the community. Clinical supervisors have the responsibility of implementing the systems created by the MCT Project Manager as well as guiding and supporting their assigned team, collaborating with supervisors within the Mobile Response Division, alleviating barriers within the day-to-day shift operations and advocating widespread needs and observations involving a system revamp to the Project Manager. The MCT Clinical Supervisor may also be responsible for assisting their team with outreaches across King County, and documenting said outreaches.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the MCT Project Manager in planning, implementation and coordination of MCT systems.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of assigned shift
- Assist supervisees with attending to outreaches when needed
- Host monthly team meetings for supervisees
- Provide supervision to supervisees 2x/ month at minimum
- Coordinate day to day schedule, making changes and adjustment due to staff call outs and call volume. Maintain staffing model through managing weekly and monthly scheduling in coordination with staff requests for PTO.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other supervisors within the Mobile Response Division to provide training and updated information to supervisees, in conjunction with improving client care.
- Maintain strong knowledge of DESC personnel policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreement.
- Maintain familiarity with agency and crisis mental health system policies and procedures and assure adherence to these procedures. Identify need, and advocate for, modification to procedures to Project Manager.
- Supervise and review team clinical documentation on a consistent basis to assure that team members maintain current and complete clinical records, and that records comply with the agency's clinical accountability policies and procedures, relevant policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal requirements.
- Support and train MCT staff toward improved care standards and practice skills.
- Teach and promote core DESC values, crisis intervention and de-escalation skills, and causes and effects of homelessness essential to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Help staff build competent crisis outreach skills and standard of practice related to clinical documentation and service coordination.
- Help staff build conflict resolution skills and understand how to give and receive feedback
- Hire applicants to fulfill staffing requirements
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Washington Department of Health minimum credential as an Agency Affiliated Counselor and is willing to learn, engage and attend trainings regarding substance use disorders. In addition to, attending monthly supervision with a Chemical Dependency Professional.
