What You’ll Do At Elekta
The Senior Service Support Engineer is responsible for the support and service of Elekta products located in distributors countries in Central Eastern Europe and Europe. You role will include:
- To supervise and mentor distributors engineers within the CEE, to help them develop their technical skills and to assist should they be struggling to resolve any issues
- To continuously monitor the competence of service resources and to ensure appropriate training plans and activities are in place and followed up where necessary
- To have excellent knowledge and proven skills in physics, electronics, mechanics, pc’s & servers, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage & current, diagnostic equipment and a general knowledge of all engineering disciplines.
- To have a strong customer focus and have excellent customer service skills. To ensure that all customers are provided with high quality care and attention throughout the sales and service process, so that each customer is fully satisfied with the support they receive from Elekta.
- Answering phone calls, mails from distributors seeking product service support
- Receive and own cases from ECSC specialists, FSEs and distributors
- Prioritize and manage cases in an efficient and professional manner
- Assists with Field Change Orders (FCOs), creation and distribute new technical information to the field.
- To represent Elekta in a professional and positive manner
- To complete the administration requirements of the role in accordance with the quality system in a timely and accurate manner.
- To follow at all times Elekta’s quality and safety policies.
- To be prepared to work as required at times and locations dictated by the needs of the customer and Elekta.
- To provide feedback to the Manager on any problems, solutions or opportunities which may need to be communicated to other parties.
- Ensuring that all interested parties are aware of ongoing or escalating issues, progress being made and any plans that have been put in place.
- To carry out without supervision corrective maintenance within acceptable time-
- Scales prompting escalation of the problem if required and maintaining ownership of problem until customer is satisfied.
- Utilize remote and Business Intelligence tools to identify issues proactively, in line with agreed targets.
- To identify and implement improvements that enhance the customer’s satisfaction with Elekta.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of all Elekta products in the service portfolio.
- To provide training to other staff when necessary
What You Bring
- Minimum of 5 years related Elekta field service experience primary modality (linac) secondary modality is additional advantage
- Minimum technical college or university in a related engineering discipline, physics or equivalent.
- To be able to manage own workload.
- Completion of all relevant Elekta technical training courses.
- Ability to solve complex product issues
- Ability to mentor and pass on knowledge
- Identifying any necessary training requirements and escalating these to management as needed.
- To be highly motivated, dynamic, have good leadership skills & be a good problem solver.
- An excellent communicator at all levels. Written and verbal output shall be concise and accurate. <
