Responsibilities
Recommended Job DutiesOrders all ingredients for all Chef Prepared sub departments to include the coffee bar, gelato and caf (excludes Beer and Wine)Orders include DSD, Warehouse and In-store TransfersUtilizes various methods of ordering to include phone orders. Website ordering, CM Order Portal, email, warehouse Telxon, in-store transfer processMaintains raw ingredient on-hand and determines par levels based on vendor service levels, shelf life on the item and promotion/holiday plansManages ingredient inventory levels to meet kitchen needs while minimizing spoilage/shrink and out of stocksWorks with vendors and Division Supply Chain Partner to resolve quality issuesTracks purchases daily and weekly utilizing a purchase tracking form and the following tools:Business Intelligence (BI Reports, Bill $'s / Bill Units by Vendor, DSD Invoice ReportDaily Invoice Report / DSDWarehouse Inquiry / WH InvoicesXnet ReportsCompletes all ordering decisions based on a Division Order Guide, Cbord and daily visits to the Chef Prepared Purchasing Page on PartnerNetManages purchases by utilizing a budget provided by the Executive ChefCommunicates Partner concerns to upper management when appropriateCommunicates supply and cost issues directly with Division Chef Prep Supply Chain partnerFosters teamwork by encouraging people to work togetherWorks directly with Executive Chef to review ingredient needs and budgetCommunicates OOS and Delivery shorts to appropriate partners and finds resolution utilizing secondary vendors and obtains the proper Food and Safety Certification for store locationRecommended Experience and Education1-3 years of related experienceKnowledge of Chef Prepared assortment, raw ingredients, food preparation and food safety standardsAbility to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks rapidly with attention to detailSelf-motivated with a keen sense of urgencyKnowledge/experience using HEB information systems (W701,WII), MS Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStand for long periods of timeAbility to manage multiple priorities, projects and tasksLift and carry heavy and or bulky itemsFood Safety Certification preferred
