SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Development Director, the SLAAI Funder’s Collaborative will support a growing Fund Development team. The Project Manager’s primary responsibilities are to manage the day-to-day communication, planning, and facilitation which involve implementing the SLAAI Funder’s Collaborative initiative and grants, interfacing with key stakeholders, key funders, and CRCD executive leadership managing project development and initiatives, and relationships with small to medium size community-based organizations. Measures and documents the implementation status of all private and public funding opportunities to ensure grassroot and regional investments for South Los Angeles. Responsible for managing and monitoring goals and benchmarks that are established for the SLAAI Funder’s Collaborative. This position will play a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating meetings and convenings that lead to the Funder’s Collaborative goal of securing $150 million regional investment in South Los Angeles. 

The Project Manager organizes meetings and activities and oversees the facilitation and collaboration within the Funder’s Collaborative. The Project Manager will report to the Development Director and will collaborate with The Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Community Innovations Officer. 

Regular interaction with the Fund Development team is expected to provide project updates and report on the initiative status. The Project Manager will provide the highest level of customer service to key stakeholders, funders, and community-based organizations that join the collaborative. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the SLAAI Funder’s Collaborative to design the initiatives monthly, annual, and bi-annual convenings/meetings.
• Serve as the lead facilitator for the Funder’s Collaborative various convenings and meetings including quarterly planning meetings, annual meetings, and collaborative convenings.
• Support and coordinate strategic priorities and goals established in CRCD’s 5-year strategic plan.
• Support the COO and Development Director with donor and funding leaders to implement key activities associated with the collaborative and strategic plan.
• Facilitate brainstorming and thoughtful discussions to support the collaborative to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Promote information sharing between SLAAI Funder’s Collaborative members, and foster connections between stakeholders and collaborative members. 
• Work with the COO and Development Director to co-facilitate, conduct monthly meetings to provide key updates.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all collaborative meetings/convenings.
• Contribute to and review collaborative annual research and meeting reports.
• Identify needs and lead the development of new tools and materials (ie. Stakeholder invitation, flyer design, etc.) 
• Work closely with CRCD’s Learning and Evaluation team and Fund Development team to ensure accurate tracking of project specific and regional investment.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment and culture of accountability.
• Ensure all stakeholder interaction and data collection is clear, complete, timely, accurate.
• Ensure quarterly and annual data and performance reporting is documented in a centralized location, accessible to L&E, Development Director, and executive leadership.
• Define, document, implement and track initiative-specific policies, procedures, standards, and metrics.
• Maintain detailed tracking of economic impact for South Los Angeles.
• Be available to attend community meetings and engagement events outside of traditional work schedules.
• Participate in CRCD staff events, planning events and retreats as needed.
• Uphold CRCD’s Mission/Vision and 5 Year Strategic Plan.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of Project Management work experience
• Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of communities and with minimal supervision.
• Reliable, flexible team player who works well with minimal supervision, who has a good work ethic, and an ability to set and maintain personal boundaries.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines.
• A high degree of personal and professional integrity: a strong role model for youth
• Experience developing one-on-one relationships with youth of different backgrounds and abilities
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills
