Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice on risk monitoring and reviews for the organization, coordinate risk mitigation activities, and provide risk mitigation assistance to other groups.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Compliance Controls Tester - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliance controls tests and analyze results.
    • Lead test inquiry meetings with internal control owners.
    • Assess related policies, procedures, and job aids.
    • Select samples to be tested.
    • Collect and assess evidence of control operation.
    • Analyze results and draft summary.
    • Analyze and evaluate operating and design effectiveness. 
    • Document test results in the system of record (Archer).
    • Track identified issues through remediation.
    • Identify and escalate issues to management promptly.
  • Draft test plans and test summaries in publish ready condition.
  • Spot and solve issues with limited guidance and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate decision making skills and good judgment on issues, analyses or projects and move projects forward with limited guidance.  Independently work with stakeholders across the team and enterprise.
  • Document resolutions and control guidelines.
  • Support other compliance activities including monitoring, targeted reviews, and gap analyses, producing high-quality work products that require minimal review and revision.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members in areas of subject matter expertise such as a tool, testing, monitoring, particular law/regulation, or area of compliance.
  • Present test analysis and results to senior management or regulator.
  • Author and maintain governance documents.

 

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experience

  • 4 years of relevant experience, 8 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience conducting controls testing in compliance, audit, SOX, operational risk or related function
  • Experience preparing reports and documentation summarizing test results and findings
  • Strong writing and communication skills and ability to present to colleagues, senior management and regulators
  • Ability to complete projects/tests efficiently with high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to assist with the identification and escalation of compliance issues to management
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member to facilitate effective enterprise-wide compliance
  • Relationship management including managing and engaging stakeholders; building relationship networks
  • Skilled in SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
  • Skilled in an electronic Governance, Risk, Compliance (eGRC) platform such as Archer
