In this position, you will assist our Manufacturing Operations Organization in our Aeronautics Systems sector as an Aircraft Structures Technician 3/4 supporting our Iuka, MS site. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and excellent people skills.

This role can be filled at a Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 3 or Aircraft Structures Mechanic Level 4 depending on the qualifications below. #MPR

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
  • Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.
  • Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
  • Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Assemble and install hydraulic systems
  • Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
  • Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness

Basic Qualifications: Structures 3

  • High School diploma or GED with at least -years 4 of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)
  • Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
  • This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working with arms overhead
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain special program access.
  • The ability to utilize a computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operating system, getting online, executing online training modules and ability to be trained using on the job software.
  • Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.

  • High School diploma or GED with at least 6 -years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)
  • with at least 2-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar)
  • Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
  • This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, twisting, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working with arms overhead
