Senior Test Engineer - Interoperability

The Sr. Test Engineer for Interoperability performs a critical function in support of this goal and the ongoing evolution of our technology and platform strategy: designing and guiding a test strategy for our interoperability platforms that validates our quality goals and incorporates test management as a design strategy.

In addition to the above, some specific success criteria in this role:

• Systematic test strategy development that covers ‘gap space’ between independent teams and testing disciplines

• Provide guidance across multiple technology organization to align to a harmonized validation model and schedule

• Skill to review technology designs and software deployment models to discern best approach to assurance of meeting quality goals

• Ability to collaborate with others to identify key areas where quality could become an issue and how to best incorporate that into testing patterns

What you’ll do…

• Collaborate with the Interoperability team to identify quality goals across both human and technology systems and processes.

• Design and coordinate validation models across various interoperability platforms, processes, and implementations.

• Work across the technology organization to establish SLOs/SLAs (Service-Level Objectives/Agreements) that provide measurable evidence of the quality of incremental software releases.

• Align test evidence collection models throughout the SDLC (SoftwareDevelopment Lifecycle) for comprehensive test evidence reporting.

• Identify gaps in aligned software strategy and execution models.

• Coordinate with DevSecOps to inform the CI/CD roadmap and incorporate automated validation reporting.

About you..

• 8+ years in moderate-to-large software engineering organizations.

• 5+ years in healthcare interoperability software/platform quality assurance (API based data exchange, HL7 platforms such as Rhapsody/Mirth/Epic Bridges, etc)

• 3+ years with languages like Typescript/Javascript, Python, C# or Java and associated libraries that can be leveraged in each

• Experience in interoperability-related testing, such as API integration and data quality Implementing test automation strategies using tools like Selenium, Postman, RestAssured, or PyTest

• Experience in regulated environment validation and reporting (e.g., Government, Healthcare).

• Deep familiarity with release management models and the incorporation of test evidence reports.

• Experience working with ISO quality models (e.g., ISO 25010, ISO 9000).

• Preferred knowledge of FHIR, X12/EDI, HL7, and related healthcare data models.

• Strong background in cross-team integration testing and troubleshooting
