Lead Analyst - P&O Systems

Salary: The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $80K to $104K.
The overall role of this position is to support People & Organization (P&O) Systems, SAP, Workday, Service Now design, configuration and Ad Hoc/custom reporting capabilities related to Workday and SAP Organizational Management (OM) processes and supporting P&O Systems for AVANGRID. Supports development of operational P&O business requirements, configuring P&O applications to meet business needs across the broader People & Organization function.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
- Custom reporting for all AVANGRID companies regarding OM Structure objects to ensure compliance and data integrity with the AVANGRID P&O Administration model and with AVANGRID policies and procedures. Includes reporting of P&O metrics.
- Support development of business cases and project delivery, vendor interface and management in relation to projects.
- Provides P&O core system training to end users including Workday, Service Now and SAP OM Overview training.
- Develops solutions and/or configuration changes to meet ongoing P&O process owner and P&O end user process requirements in Workday, SAP, Service Now and other internal P&O Systems.
- Implements configuration changes as required and prepares specifications for approved changes to be performed by IT support or Global P&O support.
- Maintains knowledge and provides support to P&O functions such as headcount reporting, recruitment and compensation for P&O business functions and identifies available functionality not currently utilized.
- Adheres to and understands all departmental internal controls and maintains all departmental processes to ensure 100% compliance.
- Responds to IT Now P&O related requests timely and accurately.
- Coordinates and supports P&O core system testing in Development and Quality environments and documenting results with key P&O Functions.
- Assists with P&O Audits and Certification requirements regarding system user audits, record retention, crime prevention and SAP segregation of duties.
- Coordinates integration points between Workday and SAP modules to ensure overall process administration and successful workflows through Workday and SAP OM structure.
- Develops, maintains and updates documentation including Business Process Procedures (BPPs), reference and training materials.
- Develop, maintain and improve the information available within the P&O core system to ensure both employee self-service functionality via the intranet is optimal.
- Testing support is required over occasional weekends.
Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
Experience in:
- HR Information Systems and administrative control procedures in corporate business environment, especially regarding Human Resource policies and governance.
- Recent developments of IT systems/technology including the impacts and opportunities from digitalization.
- Analyzing and interpreting business analytics, system design and related process workflows.
Skills/Abilities:
- Possess a high level of attention to detail, analytical competence and technical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with global team, management and employees to design effective process/system solutions.
- Result and proactive orientation.
- Strong communication, time management, scheduling and organizational skills.
- Exceptional business partner focus skills and the ability to explain matters with confidentiality and tact.
- Excellent working knowledge of SAP, Workday, Service Now and MS Office.
- Detailed awareness of IT systems, new technology and Digitalization preferably in the HR sphere.
- Awareness off data analytics preferably in the HR sphere.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and macros.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills through to completion and make recommendations based on complex inputs, trends and objectives.
