As part of our Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains innovative solutions for our client-serving Tax professionals. ATTG professionals will partner with our Tax professionals to develop supporting technology such as digital/mobile tools to improve internal operations, application of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) to collect and calculate financial data, development of advanced financial dashboards, visualization, analytics, and reports.

 

Position Summary:

The Financial Business Analyst role is in the Solutions Delivery pillar. The main function of this pillar is to ensure that projects and programs forming part of specific portfolios are completed on time and on budget and aim to exceed the business expectations.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Work closely with the business and technical teams to gain an understanding of business strategy, processes, services, and roadmap to help track, trend and forecast project budgets
  • Plan and manage the BA approach, communicating, driving, and managing the financial analysis effort for the Portfolio throughout all phases of the ATTG project lifecycle
  • Utilize, enhance, and help develop tools to present and manage financial reporting to provide insight and feedback on possible decisions such as resource allocation and cost control
  • Coordinate and collaborate to help drive cost estimation, budgeting, and ROI analysis for software projects and across the portfolio

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution
  • Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working effectively and building relationships with and between teams, external vendors and internal clients at varying executive levels
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change based on client needs 
  • TAX or Finance domain knowledge
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of deliverables
  • Experience with Agile desired
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps tool is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Experience with visualization tools (PowerBI etc.) for reporting and analysis

 

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Works with limited direction and oversight
  • Provide supervision and direction to team members and staff

 

Other Requirements: 

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required

 

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Management experience a plus
  • CBAP or CBATL certification preferred.
  What we offer   We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $63500 to $129800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $76200 to $147500.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
