Systems Administrator – Information Technology

Experienced mid-level Systems Administrator to provide Azure architecture and infrastructure support focusing on design, installation, configuration, operational management, migration, integration, monitoring, and cost tracking of Microsoft Azure IAAS and PAAS services in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and back-end infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with other team members to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Managing escalations and cases to ensure timely and high-quality resolution of all issues
• Configuring, monitoring, and managing alerts to track and report on Azure usage, performance, and availability of infrastructure and services

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field with 5 years’ practical experience or 10 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education
• Minimum of 5 years of extensive and applied experience administering a Windows domain environment
• Minimum of 5 years of extensive and applied experience administering Microsoft 365 solutions
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud, planning, migrating, and managing solutions
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server (2016 and newer) and Windows 10/11
• Experience with leveraging Microsoft Intune for device management, policy enforcement, and security compliance
• Solid scripting skills, preferably PowerShell
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in Azure
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
• Experience with RMM tools (Action1, NinjaRMM, etc.)
• Background with Active Directory Services including DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
• Functional knowledge of Network administration
• Azure Migration/Office 365 Migration experience, including tenant-to-tenant migrations using Azure Migrate (or other tool) a plus
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts
• Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship
