Position Overview

This position is accountable for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely recording of customer invoices, and maintaining up-to-date records of accounts. This position plays a crucial role in the company’s cash flow by tracking outstanding balances and managing collection efforts to ensure proper billing and credit management.

Accountabilities:

• Assist in reviewing past due accounts and preparing a process for collections
• Maintain detailed records of accounts, including aging reports and payment histories
• Manage collections activities for overdue accounts, including sending reminders and contacting customers directly
• Work with customers to set up payment plans, resolve payment discrepancies, and when necessary, escalate to the CFO if required
• Generate monthly accounts receivable reports, including aging summaries, to monitor outstanding balances
• Lead the bi-monthly A/R meetings, including having the reports available for all participants and have working knowledge of any outstanding customer issues
• Perform necessary spreadsheet maintenance and special projects as requested

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is required
• Preferred 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar role
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong technical skills including typing, scanning, e-mail, internet, and software navigation
• Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must have the ability to receive direction from multiple people
• Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects weighing 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Be able to sit for long periods of time, stand for short periods, and walk short distances
