Plans, directs, supervises, and monitors the activities of the nursing staff to achieve optimum patient care by meeting established goals and objectives. Provides feedback to the Office Manager. Provides direct patient care when appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Licensed Practical Nurse license  through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

2. BLS.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years of nursing experience in a community practice setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. ACLS certification.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two to Five (2-5) years of supervisory experience.

1. Works with the medical staff and practice manager to coordinate nursing management of patient care.

2. Foresees potential problem situations and intervenes to offset adverse impact, consulting and advising administration management of situations regarding follow up or specific attention.

3. Assesses the problems and needs of patient population.

4. Supervises the implementation of patient care.

5. Evaluates the effectiveness of care delivered.

6. Makes appropriate changes in delivery of patient care based on the evaluation.

7. Assures competency of clinical skills of clinic nursing staff.

8. Plans, implements, and evaluates staffing patters in accordance with established clinic needs, assurance of continuity of care and overall budgetary constraints.

9. Promotes open communication with the nursing staff, assessing understanding and comprehension and facilitating change as directed by clinic policy and procedure.

1. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling are necessary body movements utilized in performing nursing duties throughout work shift.

2. Must be able to life, move, and position patients of all weight, with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis.

3. Must be able to read and write legibly in English.

4. Hearing within normal range is required (i.e.: to assess breath sounds, bowel sounds, apical pulse, monitors, etc.).

5. Visual acuity must be within normal range.

6. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

3. Must have the ability to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific principles, and also be able to collaborate with other multi-disciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion.
