Job Summary:

The Shop Manager of Technicians supervises the day-to-day operations of a repair facility specializing in diagnosing and resolving sophisticated mechanical issues, managing a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding safety standards while prioritizing accurate troubleshooting and timely repairs. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Hire, train, and supervise a team of skilled mechanical technicians, assigning tasks based on expertise and workload
•    Supervise the daily operations of the shop, including scheduling repairs, assigning technicians to jobs, and  monitoring repair progress
•    Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive repair experience
•    Conduct regular quality checks on completed repairs to identify potential issues and address them proactively
•    Implement strict safety protocols within the shop, ensuring technicians adhere to proper safety procedures and use of protective equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
•    5+ years as a shop manager; preferably with a focus on mechanical troubleshooting
•    Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn maintenance software for daily usage
•    Validated expertise in mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair across diverse machinery and  systems
•    Experience managing a team of technicians, providing effective coaching, and fostering a positive work environment
•    Excellent verbal and written communication to interact efficiently with customers and technicians
•    Strong analytical abilities to identify root causes of mechanical issues and develop efficient repair solutions
•    Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building strong customer relationships
