POSITION TITLE
Accounting/Tax Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements and other related responsibilities as discussed below. The job is located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and reports directly to the Director, Shareholder Office. Any travel would be minimal.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of multiple legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
- Manage the general ledgers and financial reporting processes for each of these legal entities
- Coordinate with external auditors in the completion of annual audits of the financial statements of various legal entities
- Prepare budgets and budget variance analyses for various legal entities
- Prepare income tax returns and other filings for legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
- Win the confidence of and maintain a good professional relationship with customers
- Prepare income forecasts and execute estimated income tax payments for legal entities
- Prepare financial analyses for planning meetings
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
- 2+ years experience with a Big Four or regional public accounting firm
- A very well-developed understanding of accounting, income tax and other tax matters
