Job Description:

The Associate Director of Internal Communications for dentsu Americas’ Media Practice plays a crucial role in driving our executive communications and ensuring informed and engaged employees. You will lead our efforts to create a strategy that connects our teams, empowers our employees, and reinforces our dentsu Americas vision. This role is central to our commitment to "innovating to impact," applying communication strategies to promote meaningful change and engagement across the organization.

Reporting to the VP of Internal Communications, you will play a leadership role on the Americas Marcomms team and be an important player in our Media Practice team. You will also guide office culture programs through targeted internal communications to create a dynamic, team-oriented workplace.

You Will:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead internal communication plans aligned with dentsu Americas’ vision, driving programs across change management, HR, branding, M&A, culture, DEI, executive and crisis communications, and global communication cascades.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with Marcomms, IT, HR, and Operations teams to implement communications programs and improve processes.
  • Regional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal comms teams across the Americas and global practices to ensure consistent messaging and understanding.
  • Content & Platform Management: Oversee creation of internal content (newsletters, emails, intranet), ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Leadership & Event Support: Support leadership communications and manage internal events, including town halls and partner meetings—handling content, logistics, speaker coordination, and post-event analysis.
  • Innovation & Optimization: Improve and innovate our communication strategies using data-driven insights.
  • Mentorship: Mentor regional internal comms managers, encouraging alignment, growth, and collaboration.

You Have:

  • 7+ years in internal communications within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of the media industry and its evolving landscape.
  • Experience developing communication strategies across change management, HR, branding, employee experience, and executive programs.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and a desire for high performance.
  • Experience with building relationships, leading teams, and mentoring talent.
  • Experience producing polished and grammatically accurate content.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
