About the role
The Manger, Maintenance leads and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the equipment and machinery. The position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who oversee the installation, repair and upkeep of equipment and machinery while ensuring employee safety, efficient operations, and minimal equipment downtime.

- Manage all aspects of maintenance operations, including staffing.
- Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours.
- Responsible for providing strong technical guidance and leadership to maintenance and maintenance support staff, including skilled maintenance personnel with regards to safety, quality, efficiency and consistent application of best practices and policies.
- Directs the analysis of mechanical and operational problems on plant equipment, overseeing the planning and implementation of corrective action.
- Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
- Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department.
- Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes, as needed.
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Maintain spare parts inventory for equipment.
- Collaborate with equipment owners on future equipment moves and planning which is inclusive of the space, ensuring the utilities are in place, and the workflow is efficient for all.
- Responsible for resolving workplace activities for a 190,000 sf R&D facility.
- Navigate fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, and other general utility repairs that support our spaces.
- May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment.
- Follow safety practices in the performance of daily job responsibilities and ensure that safe conditions and procedures are maintained.
- The position may occasionally require work in off hours, on weekends, or on holidays as business demands require.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Equipment and facilities repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the Food Industry.
- Be skilled as an industrial maintenance leader.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Have advanced troubleshooting abilities a variety of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- You are knowledgeable and experienced with operating and maintaining forklifts,
- Lock out/Tagout knowledge of preventive maintenance.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- OSHA regulations.
- Engaging leader with strong team skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
