In support of DAWSON’s Enterprise Tele-Behavioral Health Clinical Services contract with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), we are seeking qualified candidates to fill our Registered Nurse IV - Health Educator positions.

Shift: M-F, 0800-1700 CST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting in the assessment, development, coordination, presentation, and evaluation of educational program needs in the Virtual Behavioral Health Program for the Virtual Behavioral Health staff and its stakeholders, both in formal academic settings and in clinical environments. They assist with provider, nurse and administrative training and develop curricula. Additional duties may include research, mentorship, and serving as role models. Directly oversees and manages all on-boarding and training requirements for the program. This includes staff compliance and maintaining requirements as well as electronic Competencies.
  • Assists with Joint Commission requirements and ensures Standard Operating Procedures are following necessary requirements.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Tracks and manages all Standard Operating Procedures for the program. Ensures updates are in compliance with DHA BH policy.
  • Serves as the Behavioral Health Data Portal (BHDP) Champion for the program and ensures compliance with use and training.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Education: Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as otherwise outlined in this PWS.
  • Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: None
  • Experience: One year of experience in nursing as identified in this PWS after graduation.
  • Board Certification: None
  • Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in this PWS.
