Product Manager, Visualization Software

About the role

Software is at the core of our products, enabling researchers to progress science forward and reach experimental conclusions faster and easier. 

We are seeking a Product Manager, Visualization Software to build products that advance biology to improve human health. In this role, you will lead product definition of Xenium Explorer, our visualization software for our novel in-situ technology, which enables scientists and researchers to analyze tissue at precise, sub-cellular resolution. You’ll conduct research to deeply understand customer workflows and needs, define the product requirements, guide the prioritization of development based on business needs, plan out the roadmap and releases, and work with a highly multidisciplinary team to build the product.

What you will be doing

• Conduct customer and user research, assess the business and competitive landscape, and analyze product telemetry to inform prioritization and design decisions.
• Develop customer/product requirements, conducting independent research, and evaluating trade-offs.
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams (software engineering, computational biology, product design, and QA), leveraging strong leadership, planning, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bring clarity to complexity by communicating problems and solutions to diverse roles across the company.
• Manage delivery timelines and software release plans throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure we deliver impactful, well-designed products that customers love.
• Analyze data to assess business impact.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of software product management experience, or equivalent experience in a related field

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience shipping software products.
• Knowledge of user experience design, software development, data visualization, and data analysis preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, balance short term and long term trade-offs, and efficiently meet timelines; focus on execution and ability to drive work to completion.
• Ability to understand, empathize, and communicate with customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Structured and analytic thought process; experience translating data into actions.

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.
