Role and Responsibilities
The Samsung Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) eCommerce team is seeking a Senior Manager, Ecommerce Business Planning & Analytics to lead short- and long-term planning for the Mobile business. This is a high-impact leadership role operating at the intersection of Strategy, Analytics, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Operational execution.
This leader will own end-to-end business planning, including sales forecasting, P&L oversight, financial performance management, and executive reporting at the Category, Product, and SKU levels. The role drives weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting processes; develops forward-looking financial outlooks; and leverages category-specific business intelligence, promotional analytics, and ecommerce performance drivers to improve forecast accuracy and profitability.
Operating with strong ownership and analytical rigor, this individual will build advanced financial and statistical models using Excel, Tableau, SQL, and predictive methodologies including Machine Learning to deliver scalable, data-driven planning solutions. The role serves as a strategic analytical bridge across Supply Chain, Finance, Category Management, and Operations — translating complex and ambiguous business challenges into structured insights, clear financial implications, and actionable executive recommendations.
Success in this role requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed organization, and the composure to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure. The ideal candidate thrives in high-visibility environments, manages competing priorities effectively, and maintains analytical precision and sound judgment during peak business cycles and tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Business Planning, Forecasting & Financial Performance
- Develop and own monthly operating plans, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial outlooks in partnership with Category Management, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasting using multi-variable bottom-up modeling (traffic, seasonality, promotions, channel mix).
- Own category- and SKU-level P&L modeling, including scenario simulations across pricing, promotions, assortment mix, and inventory positioning.
- Conduct variance analysis and gap-to-target assessments to identify risks and corrective actions.
- Provide executive-ready performance & financial reporting with clear insights, gaps, implications, and recommendations.
Promotional & Commercial Analytics
- Lead promotional analytics, including attribution modeling, price elasticity analysis, lift modeling, and ROI evaluation across categories.
- Develop and maintain a data-driven promotional playbook to optimize revenue and margin performance.
- Evaluate ecommerce sales drivers (traffic, conversion, attachment rate) and model promotional impact across platforms and campaigns.
- Partner with Category teams to drive revenue gap closures through actionable insights.
Business Intelligence & KPI Governance
- Architect and govern enterprise-level Tableau dashboards providing real-time visibility into business performance and supply chain health.
- Design executive scorecards consolidating KPIs such as sellout achievement, demand vs. shortage, weeks of supply, aging inventory, and financial targets.
- Automate recurring reporting workflows to improve planning efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Conduct historical back-testing and scenario simulations to improve forecasting accuracy for launches and seasonal cycles.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, quantitative recommendations for senior leadership.
