Primary Job Function:

This newly created position will be responsible for gross-to-net accounting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, processes and standard operating procedures. The scope of the role will cover the entire U.S. Therapeutics organization with $50+ Billion of rebates/discounts annually and balance sheet reserves of $10+ Billion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong compliance mindset and a relentless desire for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead SOX compliance for all gross-to-net accounting internal controls
• Oversee financial and operational gross-to-net policies
• Manage gross-to-net accounting standard operating procedures
• Assess operational impacts and drive implementation of new legislation, rules and regulations including processes, systems and data strategy governance
• Partner with AbbVie’s internal SOX compliance team, internal auditors and external auditors

Position Accountability/Scope:

• Coordinate and ensure alignment occur across various pricing teams such as contracting, government, price forecasting
• Operate independently to accomplish the goals and responsibilities of the position, however interaction with finance leadership is critical due to the nature of the role.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on gross-to-net accounting processes, providing where necessary education and training of business partners.
