**This role is hybrid out of our office in downtown Greenville, SC **
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in driving financial insight, supporting strategic decision‑making, and improving FP&A processes across the organization. This role goes beyond execution to include ownership of key analyses, independent judgment, and influence with senior leaders.
You will lead complex financial modeling, partner closely with cross‑functional leaders, and help shape operating expense and capital expense forecasting and budgeting, incentive compensation, and executive reporting. This role is ideal for an analyst ready to operate with increased autonomy, accountability, and visibility.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Own and continuously enhance financial models supporting forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis focusing on operating expenses.
- Serve as a key contributor to the annual operating plan, long‑range strategic planning, and quarterly forecast cycles.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Apply advanced modeling techniques and best practices to improve forecast accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
Reporting & Advanced Analysis
- Lead preparation and analysis of monthly financial and operational reporting packages, including identifying and driving automation and process improvements.
- Partner with Operations and other stakeholders to define performance targets, evaluate results, and support incentive compensation calculations and payroll accuracy.
- Support monthly executive expense reviews by preparing insights, highlighting trends, and participating in leadership discussions.
- Analyze key financial and operational drivers, translating complex data into clear narratives that inform decision‑making.
- Lead ad hoc analyses and special projects, often with ambiguous inputs and tight timelines but high impact.
Cross‑Functional Partnership & Leadership
- Act as a trusted finance partner to leaders across Finance, Operations, and corporate other departments.
- Independently manage relationships in a matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leaders with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to independently structure complex analyses.
- Demonstrated experience improving processes through automation, standardization, or new analytical approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with strong business judgment and intellectual curiosity.
- Experience in consumer lending or financial services strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment.
Education & Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or related roles; audit or consulting experience may also qualify.
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong PowerPoint skills preferred.
- Experience with SQL or Python and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., OneStream, Sigma) preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools is a plus.
