The Warehouse Shift Supervisor in Lessines is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse during assigned shifts. This role involves direct management of warehouse staff, including Shift Leaders, with a focus on efficient workflows, safety standards, and inventory management. The leadership provided is essential for creating a productive work environment, motivating teams, and achieving operational goals while adhering to internal policies, social laws, and lean management principles.

What you'll do

• Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee all daily activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products, to maintain a well-organized workflow.
• Manage Teams: Directly supervise operations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to meet operational targets.
• Motivate and Develop Teams: Foster a positive work environment, recognize achievements, and implement training programs to enhance skills and performance.
• Improve Efficiency: Develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes using lean management principles.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to internal organizational rules, safety protocols, and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Manage Inventory: Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate records.
• Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address issues promptly.
• Report and Resolve Issues: Prepare daily reports on warehouse activities and resolve operational issues swiftly, raising to management when necessary.
• Flexible Work Schedule: Be prepared to work various shifts, including early mornings, lates, nights, exceptionnelly on week-ends.

What you'll bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in warehouse/supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience managing unionized workforces and understanding labor relations is a plus.
• Skills: Strong supervisory and motivational abilities, proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, and a proactive mentality focused on continuous improvement.
