Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and homelike environment for individuals in our community programs. Duties include all elements of household maintenance, including patching, painting, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, tiling, electric and general HVAC, as well as snow removal, and grounds work as needed. The Maintenance Support will be required to remain on-call (rotating) for emergencies, complete assigned jobs within a reasonable amount of time, assist others in performing various duties, and maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. This position will perform maintenance services for our group homes located throughout Dutchess, Ulster, Columbia, and Westchester counties.
Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)
With HS Diploma/GED - $21.00 - $22.47 per hour
With BA/BS - $22.00 - $23.54 per hour
With MA/MS or higher - $23.00 - $24.61 per hour

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required. Will be waived if candidate can demonstrate five (5) years experience in building maintenance, in an institutional setting.
Experience: One year of maintenance experience required. Some knowledge in carpentry, electrical or plumbing required.
Physical Requirements: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 70 lbs or more.
