The Role: Superconducting Qubit Design Engineer As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Develop and innovate in the realm of microwave architecture for superconducting resonators.
  • Engage in hands-on development, simulation, and troubleshooting of microwave circuits and controls.
  • Collaborate closely with experimental physicists to create the quantum processor, developing sophisticated hardware for enhanced system control and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct numerical simulations for on-chip circuits and their packaging.
  • Predict interface losses and inter-resonator couplings with precision.
  • Design and troubleshoot room temperature hardware including filters and PCBs.
  • Architect multi-qubit circuit systems for future quantum computing advancements.

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical/Microwave Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Ansys HFSS, Python programming, and PCB layout software.
  • Deep understanding of transmission line theory, wave propagation, and RF/MW components.
  • Experience in cryogenics and/or quantum mechanics is highly desirable.
