Purpose/Objective of the Role:
As a RegiStar Student Guide, you are the welcoming face and knowledgeable peer resource on behalf of the Registrar’s Office. Your primary focus is helping fellow students navigate registration, academic policies, Degree Audit, and the administrative practicalities of being a student via front-desk, phone, and email support. In addition to peer guidance, you will assist faculty, staff, alums, and visitors while supporting key administrative operations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Guide & Empower Peers: Serve as a frontline guide, helping your fellow students understand and resolve common issues related to registration, academic records, and graduation.
- Deliver Multi-Channel Service: Respond to inquiries warmly and accurately via front-desk walk-ins, phone calls, and email to direct students and other campus community members to the best resources to meet their needs.
- Contribute to a Seamless Experience: Assist with essential office tasks, such as reviewing documents and processing student requests, to ensure all administrative processes run smoothly for students.
- Collaborate on Special Projects: Contribute to initiatives that directly enhance the student experience, such as auditing web guides, testing new portal features, or researching campus needs.

- Courtesy & Professionalism: Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding student records (FERPA compliance) while representing the University with integrity, maturity, and poise.
- Curiosity & Problem-Solving: A curious and proactive approach to understanding challenges and developing new solutions.
