Job Description

AECOM an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Manager to be based in our Atlanta offices.   This position offers a flexible/hybrid work schedule.

The Project manager will work with multidiscipline engineering teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.   Project manager will be responsible for relaying project and client requirements to the project team and for acquiring information needed from the client for the project team to complete their work.  

The Project manager will ensure that the project team is following established project quality procedures and documenting quality control milestones.   Project manager will schedule and facilitate design review meetings with multidiscipline engineering teams when required by the established quality control program. Project manager will ensure designers are following the design plans and that the design work is coordinated with other disciplines.

The Project manager will provide input on client billing and will track financial status of projects including total amount invoiced, outstanding invoices, gross revenue, and net revenue.   Project manager will periodically review project finical status with program manager. 

The Project manager will interface with and manage clients related to on-going projects.  Project manager will be responsible for understanding client requirements and client satisfaction. Project manager will work to develop trusting relationships with clients and will be responsive to client requests and needs.

The typical responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
• Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects
• Consistently delivers profit margins planned
• Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion
• Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors)
• Manages more complex clients and projects
• Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such
• Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims
• Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 6 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering License
  • Experience with design and management of commercial aviation fueling projects pipelines, and bulk storage tanks
  • Experience with commercial and/or Department of Defense fueling design projects.  Othe
