About the Role
The Health Informatics Consultant partners with healthcare organizations to implement, integrate, and optimize clinical solutions. This role combines clinical knowledge, informatics expertise, and workflow consulting to support adoption, improve outcomes, and embed evidence-based practice into everyday care.
Responsibilities
Lead implementation, integration, adoption, optimization, and expansion using established methodologies and best practices
Advise clinicians, operational leaders, informatics teams, executives, and technical stakeholders
Align evidence-based workflows with clinical, operational, and organizational goals
Support integration of evidence-based practice into daily clinical workflows and EHR environments
Partner with clinical, operational, technical, and EHR vendor teams to integrate Elsevier solutions into healthcare workflows
Ensure solutions are embedded effectively across clinical and operational practice
Identify and resolve workflow gaps, implementation risks, adoption barriers, usability issues, and operational dependencies
Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, workflow reviews, optimization sessions, and post-go-live support
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Allied Health, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, or a related healthcare field
5+ years of experience in healthcare clinical practice, informatics, consulting, implementation, workflow transformation, or healthcare technology
Experience with EHR systems and healthcare technologies
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary care, healthcare operations, and clinician workflow integration
Experience supporting technology adoption, workflow optimization, operational enablement, or healthcare transformation
Strong communication, facilitation, consulting, stakeholder management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a collaborative, global, matrixed environment and travel as needed
